Breathing exercises are techniques designed to improve breathing patterns and increase awareness and control of one's breath. They often involve a specific pattern of inhaling and exhaling or the use of breath retention.
In some studies, it has even been found that antioxidants such as glutathione, glutathione peroxidase, and superoxide dismutase are higher in those that practice breathing exercises.1
